Got up about 6:50. Its casual day, so I was ready by 7:15. And since I had so much time I decided to make lunch - but I just wasn't feeling well. So didn't. So got to work by 7:30.

Read more Unfinished Tales. And did other fun stuff, until people started walking around and making sarcastic comments.

Another fairly slow morning. Not as bad as yesterday, but still. Running out of work, again. Had some strange GST questions to kinda break the monotony. Well, not really.

Got a call from parents near lunchtime asking to find a cheap monitor. So I rang JB Hi-Fi and they had a 19" flatscreen for $287. So I didn't agree but resolved to go buy that tomorrow - amongst my crowded schedule.
Also rang BigW and they said they had Thank God You're Here season 2 for $26.82 - which is about $13 cheaper than the norm. But Mogli said its $36.82. Anyway, also decided to go buy that tomorrow. Really crowded schedule.

Went and bought lunch from the corner shop, then went down to Jaycar in Northbridge (I think....) to get wires. I donno; Mogli and WAB? were getting wires, I only went to go to Epic after.
Went to Epic after. Gee; surprising. Got takeaway latte, cos it was, well, 2 already.

Went back and didn't do much.

Rang Ali sometime in there to arrange to go over there tomorrow at 2 to watch one of the tapes that I have, and also to borrow some stuff from V's collection. So the plan is shopping, then movie, then monitor then DVDs, then there. Really, really crowded.

Had drinks at 4:30. That was a whole lot of nothing. Left at 5:15.

Watched a bit more El Cid. Man, its long.

Watched The Simpsons and a bit of Futurama, while I was eating dinner. Left about 7:20.

Had good ol' cell stuff. Yay. Left at 11:15.

Went to sleep pretty much straight away. That's, like, almost 12.

Yes - I was informed today that I have become the latest victim in credit card fraud. I check the online thing like everyday, and yesterday it was fine - now there's like these multitude of purchases, apparently. Including Heroes from Amazon, incidentally.....

Got up just before 7. Didn't make lunch, cos Mogli said yesterday his plan was to go Subi and get Jesters. Anyways....
Got to work thus too early. Played soccer with Mogli for a while, though, so no reading.

Really, really slow morning. Yerk.

Decided not to get Jesters and went to the locale shoppe and got roast beef rolls. But that place is so crowded - didn't finish till like 1:20.
So then went to Subi cos Mogli needed to do some identification check thing at the post office. Saw WAB? there. Bizzarro.
Anyway, that took ages, too. Didn't finish there till 1:45. So were gonna get takeaway coffee, but WAB?, who's a manager, wouldn't hear it. So we sat at Vero (same as my car insurance....), where Michael Braun was, and had the coffee there.
Didn't finish till 2:05, and then had to drive back, so didn't start work again till 2:15.
I'll pretend to care.

Not much going on in the afternoon. Destroyed my AMEX, at least - just in case I forget and use it. Bye bye, little CA symbol....

Finally got my letter from Bankwest, so could finally transfer my money from ING's lousy 6.15% interest to their fantabulous 7% interest! Groovy!
Also got a large envelope which I was hoping (actually, pretty sure) that it would be the super from either MLC or Accountants Super - but it was just Rio asking me to vote to accept their takeover of some mining company I've never heard of - though it is worth $30 billion, or something (according to them).

Watched The Simpsons and Futurama. Then I saw some Idol stuff where they announced the top two from yesterday - man, Mogli was right about that; they were the suckiest bunch of suckers that ever sucked!

Then kept watching El Cid. Maybe my mum liked it for all the Shakespearean (as I imagine it would be like, having never read it) court (as in, kingdom, not law) drama. But the guy at the start said El Cid's claim to fame was uniting all Spaniards against the invading Africans, and it showed those Africans - but now its 2/3rds way through and they're still only making preparations to land! And all El Cid's done so far is divide, far as I can tell. He was just banished from his own kingdom, for goodness sake!
Interesting that this is the same stuff we were learning about on Monday night. Sort of. I think that's made me more confused.

For today, as I was getting ready in the morning, I was humming what I only know as 'the old spice song' as it is referred to in that episode - well, that's a good song too!
Of course, I completely forgot until they were just about to discover the secret of the lost orb of Isis. I should be making notes of these things.....

Got up just after 7. Made lunch. Got to work a bit after 8. Read a bit more Unfinished Tales - and finished another one. Ah - can't wait till I finish this book! Maybe I'll try Crime and Punishment next - or start the Accru PKJ book club! (inside joke)

People kept discussing renovations. Ai.

Managed to get the laptop to work. So that was nice.

Had some Lipton green tea with lemon - but the hot teabag version, not the nice cold version. And, man, it sucked.

Was planning to go to Subi at lunch, but Mogli forgot his postage stuff. So didn't.
Watched some Ellen till about 1:20, then drove down to Epic - cos it was raining. Just had lattes. Oh well.

Afternoon like pretty standard.

Watched The Simpsons and Futurama. Dur....

Watched The Circus, another Charlie Chaplin film. It had some funny moments, but it was a lot slower than I expected, especially with a name like 'The Circus' it should be all action and stuff. Oh well.

Then watched episode 14 of Heroes. Its still OK........

Then started watching El Cid, which my mum recommended some time ago. At present (after 40 minutes of about 3 hours) I'm confused. He seems to treat people better the less they deserve it. Weird.

Got up just after 7. Made lunch and got to work just before 8. But I've decided to practice for my full time next week and work normal hours for the rest of the week, so I just sat around until 8:30.
Then it was training. Got a latte from Miss Maud's. Sweet! Well, not really, but it wasn't that bad, and it was free.
Training was tax basics (that's why there was free coffee - its a bribe. Even us plebs have to go) about business deductions. Yeah - excitement city!
Then one of the partners popped in and tried to get us excited about the Christmas renovations (that's 3 weeks where the office will be closed) by repeating ad infinitum about the plans, which consist of almost nothing. I was trying very hard not to go insane cos of how boring it was.

Didn't do much up to lunch. Was waiting for other partners, both of which had meetings. Great.

Ellen is now on channel 9 at 1 so watched that for half an hour or so. Something different, at least.
Went and got a mocha from Epic. Mogli came too, but reckoned he was too 'anxious' from the Miss Maud's one, so didn't have nothing.

Much of the same in the afternoon. Tried to get some laptop to work, with no success. Just more frustrations with the incompetent fools that are seemingly everywhere.

Watched The Simpsons and Futurama. Did NOT watch Idol.

Watched Scary Movie (numero uno). Was that really a comedy? Frankly, I thought Schindler's List was funnier....

Finally watched Heroes episode 13. I think it starts getting pretty really bad after this for a few episodes. The so-called Fix..... how ironic!
What's ironic?
This - that the episode is called The Fix, yet the ones after it are like really bad compared to the ones before it.
No, what does ironic mean?

Got up a bit after 9. Got a message from Mogli saying he wouldn't be at work, cos, despite giving me his flu, he still kept most of it for himself.

Went and did shopping. Didn't buy much - I thus forgot a lot of stuff.

Watched some more Deadwood while eating lunch. Still not much going on, really.

Went to work. It was real boring. Left at 5.

Had steak for dinner, which was the first time I hadn't bought it since I started this Monday class thing. Watched The Simpsons.

Went for the class thing. Interesting history stuff - lots about the Dark Ages and the whole Islamic invasion of the world and thus a bit of the Crusades. Happy happy missions talk!

Got up about 8:30. Yep. Well, at least it gave me lots of time to....

Watched some Video Hits. There was really nothing good.

Saw message from Rev Rick Seaward. He looked a lot less.......unimpressive than I imagined.

Saw Leo afterwards. I don't think he believed me that Reinhard Bonke was coming to Planetshakers next year. I don't think I really believe it either.

Had Jesters for lunch. Apart from the usual two pies with drink, I also got a cheese and bacon sausage roll. It was nothing on the King's Cross one, so I don't think I'll get one again. Cos it was like $3.40, or something.

Watched another 3 episodes of Deadwood while doing ironing - so that's 6 now. Halfway through. And compared to season 2, its definitely missing something. Maybe its all leading somewhere.....

Started watching episode 13 of Heroes, which is where I was up to at the end of June when I went to Sydney. But only saw the bit up to the introduction.

Watched part of the first Idol top 24 final. But I had my ipod, so I'd just listen to a bit, see that they sucked and listen to decent music instead. Then listen to the judges comments. Ewww....Jacob Butler again? X-Factor; bad memories.

Watched My Name is Earl, which was pretty good. Then started watching Anchorman, cos I thought that it was As Good as it Gets on channel 9, which is good, but I've seen it already. But then it turned out to be Something's Gotta Give, which I haven't seen, and that Anchorman show looked really sucky. So I watched that instead - and it was really unimpressive. I mean, Jack Nicholson and Dianne Keaton (issit?) were good, but the story was so predictable and formulaic and, well, stoopid.

Slept about 12:30.

That's what they teach you in chemistry. I've never tried a circuit with lots of hands as the battery, though, so I can't wholly disprove the alternative....

Got up about 9. Was kinda planning to go shopping, but decided to wait till Monday again. Was also kinda planning on watching The Simpsons movie (cos I figure I have to see it on the big screen) - but Mogli needed someone to accompany him to the doctor at 11 (and all his friends were busy), so that will have to wait. Oh well.

Went and got Chicken Treat for lunch. Um....yeah.

Then went back to Mogli's house and played more Wii Tennis. My arm was getting real sore. Eventually stopped that and played some Wii Golf instead, after discovering that the Mario thing was only one player.
Then watched a bit of terrible, terrible AFL. Also watched a bit of even more terrible WAFL, cos there was some Asian guy playing for West Perth.
Left about 3.

Watched Lethal Weapon 4. Jet Li was great as always, but a lot of the scenarios were just silly - like the guy at the start wandering around downtown with a flamethrower.....

Got MacDonald's Name-It burger for dinner, with bacon and a vanilla thickshake. Groovy.

Read some more Unfinished Tales. Up to the last section now - so that's only about 160 pages to go.

Got up about 6:50, cos I got a message from Mogli who wanted to go home at lunch cos he was sick, so I didn't make lunch. Casual dress, cos its Daffodil Day.

Had to buy a $5 Daffodil Day pen, even though had already bought the $6 soccer ball. Ai....

Morning went pretty really slowly, even though I had stuff to do.

Person who cooked yesterday made some beef curry thing for the firm for lunch - but it wasn't ready till 1:30. So ate some of that - great.

Went and got takeaway Epic, cos it was like 2 already. I wanted a mocha, but Mogli went and got them and got confused with prices and assumed he didn't have enough money so just got a latte. It was good enough.

So hung out at Mogli's house for a bit playing Wii Tennis. Then went down to some shopping place so he could buy his protein shake stuff (no comment) and get money. Then played a bit more tennis till my arm was really sore.

Finished watching The Gods Must Be Crazy. As it went on, it got not as good. Would've been better if it was much shorter. Oh well.

Had dinner and watched The Simpsons. Then finished watching episode 3 of Deadwood season 2.

Went to cell. Did Christian Basics.....

Got up about 7:30. Read some more Unfinished Tales for a while. Left at 8:45.

Went and got petrol, then went to Rocketfuel and got a latte. Sweet!

Got to Mogli's house about 9:20. He was there sitting in his car....
So went out to Swan Valley, or whatever. Somebody's relative's house, or something. Got there about 10:20, which was kinda late.
Stood around in the relative's son's playroom - kinda rich family. Had a bit of morning tea - I just ate about 8 sausage rolls. Then played some Fifa07 on the kid's Playstation3 (he had a 2 as well) with Mogli. I didn't do too well, since I'd never played before.

Then went off and played Supa Golf. It was pretty fun - but I kept hitting it in the air and thus into trees. Plus I hit two into the lake. Oh well. Made par twice, at least.....
Mogli's team won the wooden spoon.

Then went back to the house. Did this present thing, which Mogli kept going on and on about. Yeah, that was great. Played a bit of bocce. Then it was time for lunch.
Had like Christmas lunch - that was weird. There was roast turkey and pork and vegetables - which was hot; along with ham and pigs in blankets - which was cold. Odd. And quiet. Oh....so quiet.

Then went back out and played some soccer, plus some more bocce. Funno!

Then went back in and there was dessert, but I didn't have any. Super.

Then went and played some pool while we used up time till it was polite enough to leave. Finally, someone made a speech, so we took our cue and left.

Got back to Mogli's house at 5:50, so I didn't get home till 6:15. Was supposed to go to dinner at Burswood with parents, but they rang at 6:20 and decided it was too late. So watched the end of The Simpsons instead.
Watched Futurama, then more Simpsons and more Simpsons. Yay.

Watched more of The Gods Must Be Crazy. It was getting less crazy, so not as good. Inbetween, watched some more Daily Show, and listened to White Rabbit and In the Sun (by Michael Stipe) - cos its been a while.

Got up at 8:30. Yesss. Didn't make lunch.

Got to work at 9 and went straight down to the city client. Stayed there till 1. Not much interesting happening, though I did buy some raffle tickets. Great.

Bus was slow, so didn't get back till 1:20. Then went down to Subi with Mogli.
Went to Coles first to buy pasta. So bought that and that's it.
Then went to Cafe "Michael Braun" Vero. Had a panini with chicken and sundried tomato, which was pretty average. And a latte, which wasn't at all bad.

Afternoon was all the usual stuff. Managed to find some work in there somewhere. People keep walking around talking about all these exciting renovations, which don't seem very exciting.
Left at 5:30. Apparently, it was raining heavily.

Watched The Simpsons, Futurama and Thank God You're Here. The latter was another very good episode - there wasn't really a bad performance in there. And, cos of the plugs on the show, I was inspired to order season 2 and the Late Show one as well.

Finished watching The Replacement Killers. It was a real brainless type show.

Then started watching The Gods Must Be Crazy. Hah, that narrator is so funny.

Had training till 9, which was nothing interesting. I won some sour geckos, which look really unappetising.

Went down to Mogli's dad's place after that. Stayed there till just after 12, then walked back. Mogli was at his audit thing and left at the same time, so that was great.

Had lunch, then went over to Subi. Mogli said he wanted to buy a $5 shirt from Coles, then we got there and he changed his mind. So we went to the post office, cos he had to pay a fine and I had to post a letter to apply for some 7% interest account with no fees. Exciting.
Then went to Cafe 151 for coffee. The cups were just like Epic - though it didn't really taste like it. But it wasn't bitter - had hardly any aftertaste at all. Different, I have to say.

Managed to be doing work for most of the afternoon. So it wasn't too bad. I guess.....

Watched some Daily Show stuff, which was alright. Not much election stuff, though there was like the 27th Democratic candidates debate. Its probably gonna be Obama - I want Hilary! Oh well - as long as its not one of the 50 something white guys.

Started watching The Replacement Killers, with Chow Yun Fat. Its pretty much as the review said - your standard American action flick with Asians.

Woke up real early - bad dreams. Got up at 9, still feeling tired.

Went shopping pretty much straight away. Bought pods - hooray! Nothing else exciting. Forgot to get pasta - dang! Gonna have to eat damn rice, or something....

Got home a bit past 10. Did some cleaning, cos there's an inspection tomorrow. Oh, hooray.

Watched about an episode of Deadwood, which means I finished episode 2 and got a bit through episode 3. There's stuff building, but season 2 was a lot better. Its still an improvement on 1, but I think its getting a bit too....theoretical. I have hardly any idea what anybody's talking about anymore, or what anyone really wants or means.

Went off to work. It was super, as always. Mogli still not around, well, not for the most part. Cept to be annoying.

Got home and tidied my room, visa vie inspection. Went and got KFC for dinner. The drivethrough window guy was overly cheery with his farewell - later, I decided it was cos they burnt my twister a little with the toasting.

Watched The Simpsons, then went off to class. It was as great as usual. Great. Had some conversation with some guy in the break - about tax, inevitably. Oy veh!

Got home about 9:30 and did more cleaning. A bit, anyway. I don't care. Watched an episode of SVU, and was gonna watch the other one but there was a preview of that David Duchovny show (ew....) and it was already 10:15.

Slept about 10:30.

Woke up at 8, which was way too early. Managed, somehow, to go back to sleep and got up at 9:30. Still too early, but.

Watched some Video Hits till 10:30. Nothing real exciting - there was a White Stripes on in there, that was OK.

Saw some KFC on a mission trip.....heh. Didn't help the whole hunger thing.
Got some white rock. Fascinating....

Went for lunch with Ali and LH at Yuki - the last refuge since Taurus, Taurus BBQ and Singapore Hawker were all full. Had beef teriyaki, which was OK but nowhere near enough. And they don't have Pasiona anymore....
Oh, and it took half an hour to arrive, so that's a 42 hour famine, thank you.
LH went to a class at 2:15, straight after she'd finished. Ali was supposed to go too, but didn't. So we sat around for another hour.

Started watching Deadwood season 3 - I'd almost forgotten that I had it. Watched the first episode and a half while I was doing ironing. Hmm....it seemed longer.

Watched The Simpsons.
Got the Name-It burger meal for dinner - large size. I wanted a vanilla thickshake, which I ordered, and then they didn't have any. Got the free apple pie (they had to ask me if I wanted it) - not that nice.

Watched most of My Name is Earl, with Idol in the ad breaks - gee, that sucks. I missed the end of My Name is Earl, cos Rove started and I forgot to switch back. Which is annoying, cos they usually wrap everything up in that last bit.
Anyway, Rove was pretty good, I guess. So that's something.

Read another Unfinished Tale. It was rather short, for once.

Got up at 9.

Started watching Fried Green Tomatoes, which is gonna be like these movies are, I'm sure. Grr.

Went over to Mogli's house about 11. Its like 25 degrees to day, so wearing shorts outside for the first time in a while. Its funny though how very few people listen to the weather, or how programmed they are into thinking that its winter so they have to wear wintry stuff.

Went down to Target (first off) to buy these like 17 x $5 presents for the lucky dip for the Christmas in July (in August) on Thursday. Why Mogli seems to insist on nominating himself for these things is beyond me - cos he always goes on and on about how much the whole thing sucks. Anyway, so we got 11 from Target, including a $5 Target gift voucher (my idea) and this 4 cup set for $4. We ended up thinking the latter was too much, so just gave them 1 cup with something inside, and took the other cups for ourselves.
Then went to Jamaica Blue and had coffee. It wasn't much better than Brew-Ha.
Then went to Woolworths liquor and Mogli got like 4 bottles of $5 plonk. Quality stuff....
For the other two we got scratchies.

Went back to Mogli's house after that. Watched some football, playing some exhausting Wii during half time.
In middle there somewhere tried to watch Jerry Maguire and Kramer vs Kramer on two separate Foxtel channels at the same time. But only for about 15 minutes. Cos they're two that I want to see but haven't seen. Oh well.
Then watched Thank God You're Here from week 2 what I couldn't watch on my VCR - cos it broke. Then watched some more while Mogli was wrapping all the presents - and complaining some more about how bad they all were.

Watched the rest of Fried Green Tomatoes. Yeah, nothing new there.

Then watched Zoo TV live from Sydney - a U2 concert. It was OK, but I think the Slane Castle I borrowed from V was quite a bit better.

Then watched movies on TV - it was Deep Impact on 7, Forest Gump on 9 and Amelie on SBS. I basically watched the whole of the latter, but it started an hour later than the others, so I was mainly watching Deep Impact at the start and just looking at Forest Gump in the ad breaks.

Made lunch. Great.

Got to work and played soccer for a bit. Then went and watched Sunrise on TV - that was real boring.

Didn't do any work till 9, cos I didn't have any. Then I decided to do something that Mogli had. And then I got something else - it just took me through till 1, anyway.

Had lunch, then went down to Subi, cos Mogli wanted to buy cheese from Coles. Saw that they had Pods, but they're in a different section now. And, of course, I couldn't buy any.
Then went to Brew-Ha and had coffee. It was very average.
Walked across the road past some other cafes, just in case we decided to come back (which might happen on Tuesday cos Mogli wants to go to Officeworks). Apparently, though I didn't recognise them, Michael Braun and some Richmond player were sitting outside of one of them. So there you go.

Went home and watched the end of Ace Ventura 2. Super.

Then went down to Word. Werd!
The shop is in a huge mess, as you'd expect, I guess. So I couldn't find the Third Day Offerings double pack thing. But the guy there managed to find it straight away. Pah!
Also bought another book by CS Lewis - The Great Divorce. Pity I like never read.... Cos I have so many books now.

Watched The Simpsons and Futurama. Then it was basically the end of the television, so I went and got KFC for my 'last meal'. Didn't actually finish till 8:05....

Watched the rest of Battle Royale which I started on Monday, or something.

Finished another of the Unfinished Tales from Tolkein.

Got to work, but I didn't have nothing to do. Hung around till a bit past 8:30, then walked down to the city client, to wait for the training with Daryl Braithwaite. I had to wait (no pun intended) for Mogli, cos he was walking down to his audit bit at the same time.

So got there a bit after 9, and did some MYOB stuff. The guy arrived a bit before 10, I think, but the finance guy was busy. And then it turned out his name was actually Darren Galbraith, do that was a big letdown.
Had some brewed coffee and biscuits.
So that training lasted till 12:15. I mean, whoa! Left pretty soon after that.

Got back a bit after 12:30. Did nothing till lunchtime - not that I could've done anything, anyway.

Had lunch then went down to West Perth. But elected to go for coffee at elsewhere than Epic, and chose Food Store (innovative name....) which used to be Latte on Hay. Yep - it was strong and bitter. Most not nice. Oh well.

Went back and did nothing chargeable for the rest of the day. Boring city.
However, at 3, on of the managers (actually, the only manager now), WAB?, went on ABC radio to give last minute tax advice to phone-ins as part of some ICAA thingy. So we listened to that for the full half hour. Pretty simple stuff, really. As you'd expect, I guess.

Then watched Ace Ventura 2, which I actually think I have seen before - at least in part. It was almost as good as number 1....a little bit too crazily extreme, perhaps. Watched it all except like the last 25 minutes, when I decided that like 10:45 which was late enough already.
So slept then.

Got up about 6:50. But spent a long time in the bathroom - I was having trouble with cufflinks, I think. Or something. Then my hair was too dry. Then it was too wet.... Still, made lunch. Got to work about 8.

Mogli was by himself with the audit now, cept that the new partner guy (Webb) is joining him now, since the guy that was sick from yesterday (the fast talker) is still. So he was out pretty much the whole day.

Morning was very boring. I didn't have much work to do, but was still at 78% by lunch.

Mogli came back at 1. Had lunch, then went down to Epic. Got the usual stuff. Sigh...

Went back and did some stuff in the afternoon. But completely ran out by 4:30. That was OK, though - cept that there's now nothing to do when you're bored, cos of the stupid internet monitoring thing.

Watched The Simpsons, Futurama, then Thank God You're Here. The latter had only the one good scenario, which was Bob Franklin. And one of the inbetween bits was an aerial tour of Sydney - ai......

Watched The Running Man, which was really quite lame. Better than Blade Runner....but only cos that was so boring. Arnie's things that he said were so terribly cliched - and he used the I'll be back line; though I imagine Terminator came later. At least T2 surely did.

Slept about 10:30.

Got up about 7:10. Whoops. Oh well. Made lunch. Got to work a bit before 8.

Had the Accru Tax Teleconference from just after 8:30 till about 9:45, with Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart and Adelaide. Fascinating stuff - except that the manager from our firm was chairing so he did most of the talking and a lot of the other firms didn't like saying much.

Mogli was out for most of the rest of the morning. Then he came back just before lunch and was complaining about the other audit guy who had gone home sick.

I had lunch, but Mogli didn't bring his, so went down to Miss Maud's after and he got a pie. Then went to Epic and he ate his pie and got coffee. Its good, but I'm getting a bit tired of going there every day. Better than the office, of course, but....

Manage to finish off most of my work in the afternoon. So not much to do tomorrow. Boring city....

Played about 10 minutes of saxophone. Lips getting quite numb.

Watched The Simpsons, then Futurama, The Simpsons and more Simpsons.

Finished watching The Dark Crystal, which was really quite bad.
Then watched the rest of the audio commentary (ie, the start) for Triumph of the Will. There wasn't really much interesting. But, it was OK.

Got up about 9. Went shopping pretty much straight away - after checking that my ipod was finally OK and that.

Went to Coles instead - I wanted to see if they had pods. They didn't, far as I could see - but I did get speculas, and dairy milk with macadamias, and the good ol' budget scotch steak. No chili salami though - dang!
Plus I shouldn't have got so much snacky sweet stuff, cos I won't eat it all by Friday and it will just be there tempting me.

Got back about 10:30. I probably could've gone to Word, but didn't. Cos - yeah.

Watched a bit of The Dark Crystal. Its very uninspiring.

Started watching Battle Royale while eating lunch, cos watching part II before and seeing how inferior it was made me need to reassure myself that the first one was so brilliantly great.

Went to work about 1. Mogli was there, a bit surprisingly. But no coffee....

Did work and stuff. Oi. Left at 5.

Went and got KFC for dinner. Had the toasted sweet chili twister combo. Yay!

Watched most of The Simpsons - left at 6:25, which I thought was too late. But I got there early. Or, maybe it was late, but the teacher guy was late. So, on time, I suppose.

Had the good ol' class thing. It was still good.

Got back about 9:30. Watched more Dark Crystal. Its not getting no better.

Got up just before 9. Had a bit of toast and tea. Read some more Unfinished Tales. Managed to finish one of them.

Spent the rest of the morning down the back with the chickens, etc. It was rather warm.

Went for lunch at a nearby place which my parents hadn't tried cos it was rather new. Saw some wrens out the window - but they weren't very blue.
I had sirloin steak, which was like $28 and not too tender - cos it was sirloin. It was pretty well cooked and tasted alright - but it also wasn't very big.
Decided to go elsewhere for coffee, cos they didn't have good desert.

Went down to Goanna Gallery, but it was very crowded. So went over to Rivendell, but it was closed. So went back and down to Gunyulgup Gallery, which had space. But no Viennas. So had a latte with a brownie, which was $5.50 but big and pretty tasty.
Had a look through the gallery, but it wasn't much.
Saw some wrens outside - one was brilliant blue. Hooray!

Went home and it was just about time for more football - Essendon vs Fremantle. So of course my dad was compelled to watch it and make whining noises.
Read some more Unfinished Tales.

Then it was about 6, so I had dinner. And then left about 6:30.

Got back a bit before 9:30. Updated my ipod properly. But then I was trying to find more space and ended up wiping it, so had to update it again. Started watching The Dark Crystal, but I was only doing that while I waited for the internet which was being slow.

Slept a bit after 12.

Got up about 9. Had shower and that. Read some Unfinished Tales, had tea and toast. Then went for the customary wander around the entire backyard.

And, I have to say, it looks just a teeny tiny bit different from last year. Just a bit.....
Seriously, the greenness and wetness is quite insane.
Its nice to see the Lemon-Scented Gums are finally propagating themselves. Although I'm a bit disappointed with the progress of my Karris.

Then went back and fixed up all the computer stuff. Gee, that was hard! Sigh....

Rang V in there somewhere. It took him a while to figure out who I was, cos I rang on my parents phone. So there you go then.

Then I watched tape 1 of the Rage 20 years of videos. Most of it up to 1991 was all this randomly stupid obscure stuff that I wound through. Actually, almost the whole of 1987 (the first year - dur!) was useless, cos the signal was patchy and it just froze a scene every 30 seconds like.
1991 was good, though, cos it had Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana, Alive by Pearl Jam, Losing My Religion by REM and Enter Sandman by Metallica all in a row.

Watched a bit of the football in between. Saw Port Adelaide beat Carlton, but only just, really.

Watched The Triplets of Bellville, which was some cult animation movie in French but with hardly any dialogue. Same old stuff, really. And it looked ugly.

Went down to the local catholic thingy at 6. They had the 'alternative' singer there, who was singing all those 'alternative' songs. Hmmm; interesting hippy-catholics down in Dunsborough....

Came back and had dinner. It was some curry - but it wasn't cos it was supposed to have chili but didn't cos mum doesn't like hot stuff. So it was like curry flavoured, or something. Like, no bite at all.
My dad gave my his old tripod, so went down the back in the 3 degree temperatures (or whatever), and used my 60 second lens opening thing and took some stars. Lots of colourful dots - how lovely!

Watched the comedy classics on channel 7 (no; GWN!) - so that's Are You Being Served? and Benny Hill. Great. Then there was some Great Australian Albums (oxy-moron city!) on SBS - about The Triffids. You know, the good ol' Triffids. Who do all those Triffid songs and that.
Then there was part two of a David Bowie - no, Bob Dylan documentary; directed by Martin Scorsese, no less. And what a swell job he did, too. Actually, it was really just long streams of historical footage, then comments by Bobby, or one of his contemporaries. Or not, as the case may be. Saw Joan Baez, who does that great The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down song. But they obviously didn't show much of her singing.

Then there was more football. Forget who....

Got up about 6:50. Made lunch. Super!

Got a regular weak latte from the coffee guy. It was pretty good.

Had morning tea for HeyMeesh's (formerly NewGirl) birthday. It was coffee cake - but seemed a little fake. And it was way too big.

Had lunch, then drove down to Epic, cos it was raining. I had a Belgium Coveture Ristretto, which I figured would be like a mocha, but smaller and stronger - but it was actually just a chocolate ristretto, not a coffee ristretto with chocolate. So, yeah, just a small blob of melted chocolate, really. Um....goodo.

Went home and updated my ipod and packed and stuff. Actually, I was trying to clear some space and ended up erasing most of the music, and it was gonna take too long to update again.

Went down to Koorong. I was planning to buy the Offerings (I and II) by Third Day, but they didn't have it. Then I was planning to get the textbook for my unit, but they didn't have that, either. And I had to order it, but it won't be in till early September....
I did get Saviour of the World by PlanetShakers. So that was something.

Left about 3. The freeway was crowded, and Mandurah was terrible. I guess the almost constant pouring rain (till the end of Mandurah, basically) didn't help.
Arrived about 6:15.

Had silverside for dinner. Mmmm, lovely roast.

Watched some ABC stuff - Can We Help?, News, Stateline, The Collectors and Silent Witness (AKA, British CSI, AKA CSSuperLame), then a bit of very late night football. Somehow, Richmond looked on their way to winning their like second game of the season.

I was down at the city client, and I have to go back next Thursday cos they have training. And the guy doing the training is Daryl Braithwaite.

Got up at 6:40. Didn't eat breakfast, even though I had hardly any dinner last night so was kinda hungry. I think actually its quite possible that I forgot, cos I left straight after making lunch and it was only 7:25.

So I got to work about 7:35. The coffee guy was there, so ordered a small weak latte. And it was OK - but still quite bitter. I seriously think that he purposely makes the small not so good so you'll just pay the extra 80c and get the large.

Walked down to the city client. Yay - got to use the internet!
Had some dripolater coffee. Hardly drank any of it.
Still had lots to do, but it was getting on, so just finished by 12:30.

So got back at 12:50. Looked at some emails from some disagreeable clients. Oh wait - that's all of them, innit?

Ate lunch. Tried to watch some bad Australian film about Frank Sinatra. But the others insisted on watching Oprah, which was about kiddie porn, or something. No thanks. I went out and read all of 3 words of my book.

Went down to Epic. I finally got the hot chocolate, cos I'd had enough coffee already. It tasted just like the mocha, though not as flavourful. Pointless.....

So then it was afternoon and stuff. Didn't go to Webb Martin. There were some partners who were obviously bored, so they were hanging around out the back. Sigh.
Left at 5:30.

Watched The Simpsons, then tried to watch Thank God You're Here season 3 episode 2, what Mogli had taped. And, my VCR has suddenly decided that it don't want to accept anymore tapes. So I guess that's that, then.
Watched the rest of Dead Man Walking, instead. I thought I'd get more emotional than I did. Hmmm. I seriously donno what's going on.

Watched Futurama, and part of the extra Simpsons. But they weren't that good episodes.

Started watching Labyrinth. Damn, I'm not a kid anymore! And, thus, I have a strong suspicion that I'm gonna find the vast majority of this horribly unbearable. Cos of all the terrible acting. Is David Bowie a good guy or a bad one? Seriously.....

Morning was quite insanely slow. Well, the latter part of it seemed to be a little better. The first hour was just nonsense.

Mogli said he wanted to go down to Subi to find contact solution, but then changed his mind. So ate lunch then went to places in West Perth, but they didn't have the one he wanted.
So went to Epic, sat outside, had a big mac. Its not strong enough....

Watched The Simpsons, Futurama and Thank God You're Here. The latter was another very good episode. I actually liked the girl best. And the guy pretending to be gay. But of course they had to give it to the foreign guy, cos of his funny accent.

Then finished watching Triumph of the Will. It would've been really hard to get through, but for the last 45 minutes or so I remembered that there was an audio commentary option - so, cos its all just music or German speeches, I watched the rest with that on. And that was a lot better, cos at least you get some idea about what the smeg is going on, without it just being a whole bunch of psychos being crazy in a mind numbingly boring way.
I think I may go back and watch the rest with the commentary. Cos that guy was good.

Got up about 6:45, so I had time to eat breakfast - but didn't. Didn't really feel hungry, I guess. So got to work around 7:40.

Everything was going fine. Made a bet with Mogli that tomorrow there won't be an interest rate rise - seriously, I did it just for something to do.
Then had training about 8:50. Watched some terribly boring video about legal stuff - it was mainly nonsense. And then - it began. From about 9:30 for about an hour - just talking and retalking about stupid little procedures to get stupid little things done. It was such an effort and such a long time to try and get some tiny little pointless thing accomplished - and it still kept going on after that.
My brain was thus fried, and my sense of decency/tolerance/social graces left and didn't return for the rest of the day. It was therefore good that certain partners weren't around, and that there is nothing in for review that had the chance of coming back with changes, or something. Cos I don't think it would've been pretty.
I'm concerned that it will not come back. My head is definitely doing something odd.

Had lunch then walked down to post letters and get coffee. Sat down outside at Epic and had lattes. Once again trying desperately to think of some quick and painless way out of this whole situation. Nothing doing.
Saw o again on the way back......buying beans, apparently.

Started watching Triumph of the Will. I've gotta say, the one thing I didn't expect from a Nazi (propaganda? basically) film was for it to be so horribly dull. What did they do - bore all those Jews to death?
Seriously, though, I guess this was a few years before all the big nonsense stuff started - maybe they hadn't gotten quite so crazy yet?

Watched The Simpsons, then Futurama, more Simpsons and more Simpsons. That second last one there was the 400th episode - which was incredibly unspectacular. Ridiculously so, in fact. Except for a little flashback scene to early animation days at the start. Sigh....

Got up about 9:30, feeling very tired. Got woken up twice in the night, once by I donno what and once by pouring rain. So, its back again....

Went shopping at 10. Stopped off first at the optometrists and got more solution stuff, cos that stuff that I got in Sydney only lasts 24 days.

Then went to Woolworths. Still no pods....so bought a packet of melting moments instead. I'm sure they'll really suck. Also got garbage bags and hand soap - yummo!

Got back just before 11.

Rang Tabor, but there was nobody home.

Ate lunch while starting to watch Dead Man Walking. There's some theme here which I can't pick....

Got to work about 12:40. My weak latte hadn't arrived. But when it did, it was really quite good. I'm stupefied, really. Its stupefying.

Rang Tabor again and they were there. So I managed to arrange to go in for the class tonight and get the enrollment stuff then.
Then I rang up and paid my car registration. Snerp....

Nothing much going on after that. Mogli was complaining about having to do checklists and collate data for accounts. Like I cared....
But he was being more vocal than usual about how bad everything was and how much he wanted to leave. Oh well.
Left at 5.

I was planning to eat dinner by about 6 and leave then, but damn housemates were using the damn kitchen. So I waited around until 5:40 then went and got KFC. I was drinking Mountain Dew, and just finished it when The Simpsons got up to the bit where its like

Went out to Tabor next door to Koorong in Mt Lawley. But there was no staff around, cos it was like 6:30. So I just had to wait around for 15 minutes. Found some old guy who goes to FCC - actually, I think we were in the same row last week. Maybe.... I didn't recognise him really, anyway. But he did me, of course. Dur.....

So the class went from 6:45 to 9:15, with a 15 minute break inbetween. It was pretty interesting - about reference for missions in the Old and partly the new testament - mainly focusing on Jonah and Luke's gospel/Acts. Was almost inspired to do more than Audit level, but then not. We'll see, anyway.

Got home at 9:30. Finished watching Mr Smith Goes to Washington, which took a sudden turn, and Mr Smith ended up having to do a 24 hour filibuster. And it ended way too suddenly, without really concluding anything. Stupid. Oh well - it was an interesting 2 hour crash course in American politics - except that I knew most of it already.

Slept about 11:30 - it wasn't easy getting to sleep again; my brain doesn't seem to be sitting in my head properly.

Today is the first day of the rest of your life

After my bad sleep last night, woke up at 7:30 and couldn't get back to sleep for another half an hour, so got up instead. So after my shower it was only 8:30, and I wouldn't be leaving for almost 2 hours.

Watched a Charlie Chaplin short, first, then started watching Red Dragon. Obviously, since I had so much time, almost got to the end.

Got petrol, and still got to FCC 20 minutes early. But the first service was still going on, and didn't end until about 10:55. So thus we started late, and went for about 2 and a quarter hours.
I found the worship most disagreeable. Apart from the mood I was in, and that I'd been listening to tracks 3, 7 and 14 from Saviour King just previous, all the worship songs were of the same style, the same lyrics and the same era (like 10 years ago Hillsong). And it was too....weak for me. Chosen to fit in with the message, I guess, but..........
Good old Revelation. Hooray!

Had lunch at home, cos I still had some stuff left over. Finished watching Red Dragon, cos I did some ironing after. Then started watching Silence of the Lambs while I did more ironing.

For a bit of a break, watched Willow. Yup, a typical kiddie fantasy. So, too silly, really. And Val Kilmer......hmmm.

Watched The Simpsons while doing more ironing. Then kept watching Silence of the Lambs right up until The Great Debate. But only saw Paul McDermot and Stephen K Amos, then Fiona OLoughlin was on, so watched the end of Silence of the Lambs. And my ironing was done, so that was it with TV.

And I've decided to give Tabor a try, so rang Leo to try and work some stuff out. Worked some stuff out, but he was in the car, so said he'd call back later. But who knows how much later later is?

So I kept watching Mr Smith Goes to Washington, since I have a new version now. Got a bit more than halfway through. Its a little odd that this guy, being so patriotic, knows less about the US system of government than I do.....

Leo rang back at about 11:30, and wasted his credit for about half an hour. We were mainly complaining about the Christian Institution as it currently stands and how nice it would be to change the whole system (from within)....

Got up at 9. I was thinking about doing shopping at one stage, but I didn't, cos I didn't know what time my parents would come round and figured it could just be a 'pop in' type thing.

Watched the rest of Thank You for Smoking. It was more like an expose on lobbyists than an expose on the smoking industry. Oh well. They didn't want to be too predictable, I guess.

Did some ironing late morning, while watching The Wall. Great music.... I decided that I might need to buy that song where he goes psycho and smashes everything - called 'One of my turns', or something. I like the 'oh! no!' bit.

Parents came around a bit after 2, and we went over to Claremont oval to watch football. That's like WAFL football - Claremont v East Fremantle. And they were late, so we came right at the end of the first quarter. Sat for the next quarter on some hill, but it was looking straight into the sun, so moved around the other side at half time.
Spent most of the game looking for some guy who's name was Trinity. Finally saw him in the last quarter, cos he was like a full back defender type guy. Actually, not a bad player from what we saw. Probably has to be to make up for the name.
So Claremont ended up winning by like 4 goals, which was expected. But they got all that in the last 5 minutes, and East Fremantle nearly caught up by battling for the last half, bar the last 5 minutes. Too bad....
Then went back home.

Watched World Trade Center, by good ol' Oliver Stone. And it was vastly superior to Alexander, which was his last film, except for some documentary stuff, or something. I guess cos its been done to death already (and possibly the emotional trauma involved), he kinda skipped all the buildings falling down and the planes striking the towers, except for the noise. And, of course, its told pretty much first person from the cops and their families, so they're underneath when it falls, so its just noise and dust and stuff. And thus the film is quite slow and that. But nowhere near as soppy and American (or, anti-American) as I expected.

Was gonna watch one of the movies on TV - Catch me if you can, or some old women film - but just watched The Wall with commentary instead; with Roger Water's doing impersonations of Bob Geldof "Punk Fliyd load of crup" in Irish, etc.... so funny.

Read an email from V at about 9:45 that happened to mention he was going back to Sydney at 12 tonight for like 6 weeks. So I rang him, but, of course, he was busy packing already. So that's that, then.

Slept sometime around 11. Not very well.

Got up about 7:05. No making lunch, cos I had it from yesterday. It was too late, anyway.

Its jeans for genes day, so wore jeans. Isn't that nice?

Doing work and stuff. That's just great.

Had morning tea for one of the partner's birthdays - like from 2 weeks ago. There was cake. It was OK. Then there was another cake. It was better.

Had lunch, then went down to Epic. Sat inside (outside) and had a macchiato. But its not real that strong. Good enough, I guess.

Went down to the FCC auditor's place in Victoria Av in the city for the standard yearly meeting. It was at 2:30, but I got there 10 minutes early. The other two arrived right on time.
Saw the new catholic cathedral thing happening out the back window of their boardroom. Who knows whats going on with that.

Had coffee at a nearby place after. Not as good as Epic, of course. But not too bad.

Then I figured since I was there and I was planning to go sometime soon anyway that I'd go down to Word. Word! (as in, werd...)
But it turned out that it had moved to like 369 Albany Highway (wherever that is), so I just drove back.
And I went down Wellington so I could go down William (or Barrack...) back to Mounts Bay Road. But I went the long way, cos the usual way was back open, but I went the usual way as in for the past 5 years, or whatever, which is now the long way. All this road stuff that happened in those 3 weeks that I was away....

Then kept watching BRII. Its getting more less better. As in, worser. Yes.

Went for dinner with parents at local Chinese place. Finally got rid of huge bookness.
Mum was having all sorts of problems with basically everything of the 21st century - the computer, phone and digital camera. So I agreed to go down next week. Don't know if that's gonna work out, though.

Finished watching BRII after that. It certainly didn't get any better.

Then started watching Thank You for Smoking. And that is a very good film. Except that its not quite as clever as it should be - but, with all due respect, these are only lowly script writers, here. We can't expect them to come up with hole proof definitiveness.

Rang up and confirmed that I was accepting my quote for private health insurance - so I can avoid (most) of the surcharge next year. And its only like $450, or something. Super....

Went to MacDonalds for lunch. Had the homestyle burger meal with a vanilla thickshake. Pretty tasty, but it was too much food and made me more sleepy. Especially without the coffee.

Also quite a slow and boring afternoon. Left at 5:30.

Started my washing straight away when I got home, so no sax playing.

Got a letter for my car insurance renewal.... And have to pay the rego soon, too. Ai.

Watched The Simpsons, then Futurama and more Simpsons, then more Simpsons. Saw U2. And Steve Martin. Great.

Kept watching Mr Smith goes to Washington, but I only saw the next 5 minutes when the thing died, cos it only has parts 1 and 6 of 6 - there's no 2-5. So that was useless.

So started watching Battle Royale 2. Which was almost exactly the same (but not as good), and then turned into some Saving Private Ryan thing (ie, the first hour or so of that with the D-Day landings), but with kiddies. Strange.... And there was all this unsubtle commentary on terrorism and the whole US v Iraq, rest of world thing.

Really slow and boring morning. Just went on forever, like.

Had lunch, then went down to Harbourtown, cos Mogli wanted to return the free Wii game that he got with the machine - Resident Evil. But it turned out he needed like 100 points for proof of identification, so he couldn't do that. So it was another pointless visit, really.
Got a VVL from Gloria Jeans - but it tasted quite bitter. I'm not impressed......

Not much going on in the afternoon. Left at 5:30.

Played some sax for about 10 minutes (during the Simpsons). I managed, although not well, to get about two octaves from the bottom to the almost top (without flats or sharps). So, thats nice.

Watched Futurama, then Thank God You're Here. Another great episode - I suppose Dave Hughes deserved to win. Still, I like the middle bits the best; its too bad, really.

Then watched the rest of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Yeah, that sucked.
