Jimbo: "You win this round, Simpson!"

Woke up to rain. Yayness! Took ages getting to work. But others were far more delayed.

Cancelled my ING savings account. Damn; that $2.13, or however much.

Faxed off form to have Bankwest linked account changed to Commonwealth Bank. Its all happening, now.

Didn't do a lot of work. But it didn't feel that way....

Had toasted sandwiches.
Got petrol.
Too wet for Epic, so got Rocketfuel.

Arranged for an EY interview for Thursday at 5. How? Guess I'm leaving early, or something. Might have to start early, I suppose.

Watched Friends, Biggest Loser and Red Dwarf - the Legion episode; another one of my favourites. We're definitely in my favourite season now.

Sunday, March 30, 2008

"You like Samurai swords. I like...baseball" - Hatori Hanso, Kill Bill

Church. As if you couldn't guess....

Ate 8 weetbix.

Watched To Kill a Mockingbird. I had it rated at like 2.5 stars, I guess from high school English when we read the book then watched the movie. Not surprisingly, I guess, I liked it considerably more this time around. Especially surprising to see Robert Duvall as Boo - he just kept reminding me of John Malkovitch - probably from Of Mice and Men; which, incidentally, I had a similar experience with (ie the vs high school thing).

Tried to do ironing while watching The 39 Steps but the power kept going off so I stopped. I keep thinking I should go buy a new iron; but then this really only started since I moved in here (and it was going alright for about a month there). So maybe I should wait till I move?

Slept a bit. I think. It would seem, anyway.

Went to Apsley at 4. Played cricket with Leo and The Prophet.
Got Gatorade from IGA after. Then hung around a bit for no reason. Left at 6:30.

Watched half of The Biggest Loser.

Went to Ali's house at 7:30. Ate scrappy dinner; it was pretty much all leftovers except for some, well, trial sushi.
Watched So You Think You Can Dance and Rove. Left about 10.

Saturday, March 29, 2008

"Just keep swimming! Just keep swimming!" - Dory, Finding Nemo

Leo left in the very early morning. Since he was there, it was about the first time I've had to close the bathroom door. It was not a huge success.

Ate 6 weetbix.

Finished watching Made for Each Other. Another very typical, fairly lacking in substance type James Stewart show.

Did washing.

Met Leo at Woolworths in Southlands ('King among Woolworths'). Got more weetbix, cos there was a 'buy two for $6' deal and of cos Leo had to get one.
On the way, stopped off at 13's house to get wallet. He seemed barely awake, at 12:30.

Dad came. Dropped some stuff (namely the ironed clothes), took some other stuff (namely cushions for the cane chairs that they are taking back, cos they're getting them recovered somehow).

Finished watching The Last Time I Saw Paris. Basically rather boring.

Read more Cleopatra book. Fairly dreary.

Picked up Mogli and went to Football. Great. Well there was a time there towards the end of the 3rd quarter that got fairly exciting. And MAYBE if the game had gone a few minutes longer it could've been exciting again.
Had expensive Chicken Treat.
When it was clear that the home team couldn't win, some guy yells out "just keep playing!". Good suggestion, eh?

Saw dark city....... Eerily beautiful. Maybe. Mogli was like ready to start his own green party, or something.

Watched (the rest of) Jurassic Park. Was almost gonna watch some comedy about elections that I hadn't seen before but it was an hour past starting already, so figured I'd better stick with the familiar. But still, the best part of Jurassic Park is the start, and I missed that too.

Slept about 11:30. Or was it 10:30?

Friday, March 28, 2008

"Please don't bother trying to find her; she's not there"

Ate 4 weetbix. I should become a cricketer....

Went to Mogli's dad's place.
Had bad morning tea; a pastie, that was as bad as pasties usually are, and a burnt sausage roll.

Had toasted sandwiches.
Watched Ellen.
Got Rocketfuel.
Drew money.

Drinks.... Delaying the inevitable. Ahem.

Stayed for 15 minutes cos I had to pick Carmen. And then when I went there, they told me she had already left. Well, actually she told me herself over the phone.

Watched Friends, Biggest Loser. Pulling buses. What fun.

Went for cell. Left wallet there.

Leo came over about 11:30.
Finished watching My Favourite Brunette. Great.
Watched part of The Last Time I Saw Paris AND Made for Each Other. They were both not the sort of films you should watch when its about 12:30 and your not superly awake.

Thursday, March 27, 2008

Come with expectation!

Had toasted sandwiches.
Watched Ellen.
Got Rocketfuel.
Sat outside for a while, cos we got back really early. And we're both trying to stay out of the office as much as possible. Cos this type of conversation; you don't want certain people to hear it.

Finally met my bank guy, cos he had to come over cos, as I suspected, I forgot to sign the First Home Owners Grant. Got my birth certificate authorised copy back, but then I had it under the FHOG as I was signing it and so ended up just giving it back again!

Awaiting interview call from EY. So they say....

Watched Friends, Biggest Loser. Then I was watching SVU and The Transporter, kinda at the same time.

Wednesday, March 26, 2008

"Up to better times of sweet release; take me now!" - Live

Breakfast! - 1 bowl of cornflakes, then 4 weetbix. Too much time, or what?

Work and stuff. Sigh....

Had toasted sandwiches.
Watched Ellen.
Got Rocketfuel.
When oh when will this evil Summer die?

More work. Sigh!

Got changed and went to Tabor.

Met Leo straight away, cos he finished way early. Walked!!!! to Nandos. Ex prices! Had Fiesta meal. Not SOOO bad. But not really enough food. And still like $12.50, with drink.

Had class.

Mmmm - tea! Donno why but it tasted really good tonight. Maybe cos its a real cup?

Looked at Mogli's CV, seemingly in the middle of the night. Well, its certainly Mogli. So why he's asking me for advice; we're really quite different people in most respects.

Tuesday, March 25, 2008

Countdown to a resigning..... beta version. New, and better for you. Destination unknown.

Too much work on now. Isn't that how it always is?

Had toasted sandwiches for lunch.
Watched Ellen.
Did shopping in Subi. Cos I was away all weekend. And things were closed anyway. Cos of the public holidays; people are just lazy!
Had sitdown coffee at Cafe Cafe. Of cos, all we talk about now is quitting.

Sent off resume, to 13. Guess its pretty crap but who cares really.

Watched Friends.

Went for class.

Monday, March 24, 2008

Homer: "...and I'm not easily impressed. Wow! A blue car!"

Had hot cross buns. Packed the car and left about 8:30. Forgot all the ironed work clothes.
Shockingly, when loading the boot, found the old plastic covered cricketball that I bought like at the end of two years ago when Mogli bought his white one. Won't Leo be thrilled?

Boring drive, but rather short. As in, the distance was the same but the time wasn't so bad. Guess I was early enough, after all.

Hung the two new paintings (the other being an actual painting (original) of Dampier. I was supposed to inherit it when my parents die. How lovely.
Watered my new plant. Its exactly the same as my other plant. Just in a different pot.

Watched the rest of episode 8 and then the whole of episode 9 of Sopranos season 6 part II.

Time really seemed to drag. Guess I left too early, after all.

Finished watching Babel. It was OK, I guess. Can't complain, really.

Watched Friends.

Started watching My Favourite Brunette, on this 10 film DVD set I borrowed from my parents which they got from St Vincent de Paul's. Interesting show. Like James Bond, but funny. Intentionally. Starring Bob Hope.

Watched Biggest Loser, then Red Dwarf. Finally up to the good episodes; like second or third last season. Actually, there were quite a few seasons after that, I think, but its like two seasons before it went real stupid and bad, and Rimmer left and Kochansky came and that nonsense.

Sunday, March 23, 2008

Peace I leave with you

Had hot cross buns.

Got two white lambs and standard lamb. Cos my mum's gone all Christian, for some reason. Actually, its probably just that they support a charity.

Went to St Vinnie's. Got painting. A Van Gogh. For $40. Bargain or what?
Yes well obviously its only a print and I won't be able to sell it for $16 million.

Rellos left! Yay! Peace, at last.

Watched John Grisham's The Rainmaker. Nyeh. A Civil Action and that sort is better. Even Erin Brockovitch. Though one feels inclined to change the 'v' to a 'b'.

Watched The King and I, cos it was on. Strange show. OK, but not as a musical, which is what it was purported to be.

Looked at more chickens and plants. It really is so very interesting.

Watched At the Movies, Einstein factor, Robin Hood (series), Compass (about Christian movies through time) and then part of a Peter Cook & Dudley Moore movie - I mean, a movie about Peter Cook and Dudley Moore. Not funny enough. As you'd expect, really.

Slept about 11.

Saturday, March 22, 2008

"O happy fault, O necessary sin of Adam, which gained for us so great a Redeemer!" - Exultet, circa 5th to 7th century

I wonder if someone got burned at the stake for that one?

Had bad sleep; got woken by rain and others.
Had a strange dream, the main thrust of which was V was over for a holiday (although it was in Sydney) and we were in like the back of a Limo with a mutual friend and he said that he'd call me later (in the weekend) cos they were doing the round of the city's casinos and he didn't think I could afford it.

Got up too early.

Read more book.

Spoke to V, cos I SMSed him about the Colour conference, cos I saw an email from Hillsong yesterday that it was over and I remember him saying he was going on the last day cos they record the album then; so he rang me back. Am still completely undecided as to when I am going over there.

Washed my car. Well, just the windows, and the coffee stain on the back. Its better....I guess.

Watched the Dockers lose. Shock, horror!

Watched Noddy (on tape). Yers.

Went for the vigil service at 7:30. Got there half an hour early to reserve a seat, then were told that we had to go outside (well, we knew that) but there was to be no reserving of seats due to people getting lost in the dark last year. So, naturally, we just stood as close to the door as possible.
Spoke to the lady whose couch I am taking.
Bart: "But my apologies always so so forced...."
Marge: "Do it!"

Watched most of Galaxy Quest. Oh, how witty!

Started watching The Rainmaker (on tape). Slept about 11.

Friday, March 21, 2008

Homer: "I've tried filling my life with family, religion, work; but they were all dead ends! I think this chair is the answer"

I have seen the new couch, and it has been found wanting.
Though what does one expect, when it is free?

Got up about 9.

Had fruit toast - in place of hot cross buns, apparently.

Looked at chickens and trees and blah. Its all very depressing in Summer, I think. Too brown and the dam is empty and the creak ain't flowing and...yeah.

Read quite a bit of The Agony and the Ecstasy. Up to part 4 now. That's about 1/4 through....

Had vegetarian lunch. Hmph!

Went for the Good Friday service. Pretty much the same as last year, eh.

Cousin and company arrived. Though only the 'new' daughter came; no sons. With respective fathers, I guess.

Watched Friends.

Had meat for dinner! Yum.

Watched Legally Blonde 2; not wonderful. I actually thought I'd seen it before, and it wasn't that bad. Apparently not.

Slept about 10:30. Didn't want to watch The Passion again....

Thursday, March 20, 2008

Homer: "Why can't they get Washington's birthday and Lincoln's birthday back to seperate paid holidays? 'Presidents Day'; what a gyp!"

Ate 4 Weetbix for breakfast. I would've had more, but decided it was late enough. Plus I could already feel the fibre beginning to work....

Got coffee from coffee guy. Goodo. Only got there just in time, so lucky me, eh?

Walked down to the city client. Wrote blog there - ahahahah!
Had Easter related morning tea. Was pretty much forced to, really.

Went back. Did very little work for the rest of the day.

Went to Subway in Subi with Mogli and Tomato.
Then Mogli almost bought some stuff, but didn't.

Had drinks at 4:30. Coke Zero. Yay.

Left at 5. Or maybe a bit before?

Went home and did packing.

Left at 6. Bought milk on the way.
Had a lovely slow journey. Well, it could've been worse. Arrived just after 9.

Had dinner and stuff. Not enough staples, just lots of stew. Good Pepsi, though.

Watched a bit of Rush Hour 2.
Slept about 11.

Wednesday, March 19, 2008

Guru: "Your neck is a well cooked piece of asparagus"

Went with Mogli at about 9 to pick up laptops so the partners can choose which ones they want...for themselves. I had to drive, see.

Mogli's girlfriend bought some $10 'cafe style' sandwich maker yesterday, so FINALLY had toasted sandwiches for lunch today.
Watched Ellen.
Dropped back the laptops. It was all fairly pointless, really.
Got Rocketfuel.

Worky work-work.

Got changed at 5 and went straight to Koorong.
Listened to the new Passion album. Decided I like 2 songs (that I don't already have, which is another 4). My favourite is....a hymn.
OH WELL!

Gave Leo Weetbix cards. He was clearly thrilled.

Got takeaway from Sparrows takeaway, which is not the regular Sparrows. Its like Taurus BBQ to regular Taurus, I guess.

Had class. Oh, yay!

Didn't pack, cos it was too late. And I was talking to Leo. Again.
Did eat 8 Weetbix though....

Tuesday, March 18, 2008

Homer: "I feel validated by that"

Left nice and early so I could go to a petrol station. I heard on the radio that Caltex, BP and Coles Express stations had already increased their prices. So I made a point of going to a 'normal' Shell. And, the petrol was expensive - bah! So I just got $10 worth.
And, they had no Optus sims - bah bah!

Got to work about 8. Mogli got in shortly after, so he suggested we go to Caltex in Subi, since work wouldn't start for another 30 minutes.
And, the petrol was cheap - yay! So I filled up.
And, they had no Optus sims - bah bah bah!

Had training. They mentioned Cain and Abel, for a reference that I cannot remember. It was the 'I am not my brother's keeper' line, but I cannot quite recall its reference to superannuation.
More importantly, had Miss Maud coffee. Mmmm.... tasty.

Mogli went with Tomato (nee: CosaNostra) to get morning tea for the latter's birthday. He also offered to get me an Optus started kit, cos the store is right next door to the morning tea place (as I knew from yesterday, cos Mogli got a sausage roll for lunch) - yay!
Took about 45 minutes registering it. But it was finally done. Now all we had to do was wait...

Had morning tea. Didn't eat much. Mogli blamed the coffee, and I am inclined to agree.

Watched Ellen.
Went to Woolworths. Mogli had to buy a birthday card, and I had to buy chocolates as a thank you for his friends, the couch people.

The phone was ready after lunch. Yay - Optus! FINALLY!!!

Watched Friends.

Went for class.

Towards the start, got a call from Mogli. Went out to see what he wanted, and it turns out he dialled my number by mistake.

In the middle there somewhere, got a message from V confirming it is Hungry Jacks in Sydney, not Burger King. Yay! I win!

Had Coke during the break. Mmmm...

Monday, March 17, 2008

"I'm just spending wasted time" - Faithless feat. Dido, One Step Too Far

Went to Mogli's dad's place.
Cos it was St Patrick's Day (and, yeah, I knew that) had a green cupcake and sausage roll.

Had lunch and watched a bit of Ellen. But only a bit cos Mogli didn't bring lunch so he was just standing around telling me to hurry up.
Went to the Optus store. Stood around for about 15 minutes and then were told that it was pointless for us to go there. So I threw away my old phone in disgust.
Got takeaway from Epic. Would've had the sitdown one if Optus was just a little bit more efficient....

Got back and rang Optus. Was on hold for about 20 minutes and then got cut off.

Rang back about 2 hours later. Almost got to the end then was told my SIM card was too old.

Watched Friends, the Biggest Loser, Red Dwarf and the final part of the Mafia documentary.

Sunday, March 16, 2008

"Cos there's something in a Sunday that makes the body feel alone" - Shawn Mullins

Went to church. Fascinating.

Watched more Sopranos - up to about half of episode 8. So that's 1.5 episodes to go.
Also watched some bonus features off the last disk; a mock documentary on the making of Cleaver, and some brief talk about some of the music used.

Watched the rest of The World According to Garp. Not really that funny.

Moved some furniture around. So now I have the full couch in the living room. And lots of junk in other rooms.

Finished the Heroes book. Not bad. Started looking at some Cleopatra book, which I think is mainly photos - I only got through the introduction.

Watched the Simpsons, the Biggest Loser, and most of the Vicar of Dibley.

Then watched the first half or so of Face/Off. I probably would've watched more, but it was 10:30 already.

Saturday, March 15, 2008

Homer: "I feel so empty; so couchless."

NOT!!!

Went shopping at Woolworths in Riverton forum. Crowded as nuts. Thus I just raced through and grabbed stuff as fast as possible.

Did washing.

Went to Mogli's house about 12:30. Stayed there for a while, then went and got a couch that his friend's family was getting rid of. Not bad, neither.
Had coffee from my machine. Then watched most of Sopranos season 6 part II episode 3, partly with commentary. We skipped the boring bits. Which is most of it.
Then went back to his house and got my car and drove back home.

Watched some more of The World According to Garp. Less sex references, but also less funny.

Watched Sopranos episodes 4 & 5. Finished off the remainder of my ironing - so its a clean slate...for tomorrow!

Watched part of Matilda. The book was better, as I believe I have said before.

Watched T2 up to near the end. But it was too late, and the endings not great, anyway. I mainly like the apocalyptic vision scenes. Go Edward Furlong!

Friday, March 14, 2008

The beginning....of the end - Sopranos promo for season 6 part II episode 8

Yes...I haven't actually done anything about it yet, but the crappiness of this week (well, just Wednesday, really), and passing comments by 911 and the conversations with Mogli and then the final conversation with him after work today...it is inevitable, Mr Anderson.
Damn, if only that firm hadn't gone belly-up; it would've been perfect.
It is inevitable, Mr Ernest...
Well, THAT'S not inevitable. But its definitely NOT Mr Page. And I don't mean him who is also known by Michael.

Polo day. Isn't it just grand?

Did some work. Yay.

Watched Ellen.
Went to Epic. Saw a Denzel Washington lookalike. Seriously.

Did more work. Too much, really.

Watched Friends.

Lowered limit on AMEX. Tried to raise limit on Visa, but there was no automatic allowance for it, so I'll have to apply with complicated paperwork. Which shall have to wait until I have the house, cos its too complicated at present. I mean, WAY too complicated.

Got KFC for dinner. The popcorn chicken melt combo. Not as good as the first time...

Had cell. Different.

Thursday, March 13, 2008

Homer: "I am smart! I am smart! S-M-R-T! I mean S-M-A-R-T!"

Got to work very early. Don't really know why. And it was especially strange, since everyone else was quite late due to an accident on Leach highway.

Went to city client. No morning tea.....

Watched Ellen - still repeats! From her birthday week in January. I really don't understand.
Went to Epic. Sweet!

Signed my loan contract, which I finally received yesterday, and put it in the mail. Realised (after) that I forgot to sign the FHOG application. Whoopsy.

Watched Friends, the Biggest Loser, the rest of Sopranos season 6 part II episode 2, and then SVU.

Did some ironing in there, somewhere. It really was too hot, but I had to iron my polo. And then there was like a half-done shirt there already, so I finished that off too. Was gonna do some pants, but then didn't.

Started watching The World According to Garp. Too much sex related jokes so far.

Wednesday, March 12, 2008

"Nothing ever happens" - Del Amitri

Watched Ellen.
Got rocketfuel.

Rest of day pretty nonsense.

Gave o a lift home.

Watched Friends.

Had class.

Tuesday, March 11, 2008

900 today!

I was planning, for post 1000, to do some retrospective thing where I make reference to my favourite, or most significant, postings. But I realise that in order to do that I'd have to start looking now cos it would take a LONG time. So it probably won't happen.
Oh well!

At about 10:30, suddenly developed severe pain in my jaw; at least, its excruciating when I chew. So I couldn't eat lunch.

Had more really pointless 'training'. I mean, its not as if I'm doing any work. But, still, its such a waste of an hour.

Watched Ellen.
Then went and got coffee from Rocketfuel.

Did some work. Some....but too hungry to concentrate.

Gave o a lift home.

Watched Friends.

Decided I wouldn't be able to eat dinner so didn't try. But I had to have SOMETHING so ate shapes. Then I discovered that it wasn't nearly so bad, but it was too late to cook. So only ate toast.

Went for class.

During the break, bought some instant noodles and Coke. It helped stem the tide a little; at least so I won't die in the night.

Monday, March 10, 2008

"Of course Jesus was a hippie; he had long hair and didn't have a job. What more proof do you need?" - Rimmer, Red Dwarf

Helped Mogli with the staff bulletin. SO over that stuff right now.

Got petrol from Caltex in Subiaco. Used my voucher, and DIDN'T pay with credit. Seems such a waste to use real money.
Did shopping. Took hardly anytime at all. So there!
Got latte from Cafe Cafe. And because my shopping was so quick, we sat around looking at Mogli's house plans. A bit better than mine, maybe....

Began to register for some MYOB consultancy course. Then stopped. Since its like $150 for some 3 hour test that I could easily fail, especially since I have had no experience with inventory. And, really, it only benefits the firm; and then not really.

Watched Friends, the Biggest Loser, Red Dwarf, and part 3 of the Mafia documentary series.

Sunday, March 09, 2008

Mr Burns: "Fine, I'll just pay for the blasted liposuction!"

Churchy wurchy.

Went for lunch with Leo. And his friend - who didn't eat. Went to Taurus BBQ. I simply COULD NOT have 3 meat rice again, so had black pepper beef with fried rice instead. The rice was good, anyway.

Watched part of Sopranos season 6 part II episode 2.

Then went and played cricket with Leo and The Prophet at Rostrata. Getting pretty tired of the whole 'soft ball' thing.

Was really thirsty afterwards, so went to KFC and Drank 1.25L Pepsi. Leo had a snack box, for some reason - it was like 4PM. And I was really stuffed at lunch.

Then went to 13's house, cos he was doing gardening. Picked up some rocks, but the whole operation was in the winding down phase.

So swam instead. Yay!

Watched part of Romeo Must Die.

Went to Bullcreek Hawker for dinner. Discussed future career paths?

Watched part of Carlito's Way. Saw Al Pacino, Sean Penn and Viggo Mortensen with weird early 80s hairstyles.

Slept about 10:30. With noisy scooters going up and down the street occasionally. Probably something to do with drugs....

Saturday, March 08, 2008

Bart: "TV sucks!"

Homer: "I know you're upset right now so I'll pretend you didn't say that!"

Got up about 10:45. Decided it was thus too late to do groceries.

Spoke to some guy selling Foxtel. He looked like a more uni-ised version of my oldest brother. Probably more pop culture oriented, as well.

Did washing. Yup.

Watched the final two episodes of Sopranos season 6 part I. Still some stuff going on. I guess.

Went to Garbo. Got shaver stuff from Myer - and used my voucher! AND still got $50 left. Also, of course, got a VVL.

Watched episode 1 of Sopranos season 6 part II. Oohhh, can you feel the tension? Well; maybe not quite yet.

Did a little cleaning. Sorted out some papers. Found that my mobile phone contract ends on Saturday. Or, at least, it started 2 years ago on Saturday. So I assume that it ends then....
And all the annoying phone calls I'm getting suggest they think the same.

Watched The Simpsons, part of Sky High, At the Movies, and most of Breaker Morant. The latter seems OK - guess I'll try and look out for that again.

Watched Omagh. Surprisingly good film, really, considering that after the first 45 minutes (before and just after the bomb), nothing much happens. But it draws you in and on. Super!

Friday, March 07, 2008

"There's nobody here, Jack" - The Silence of the Lambs

Got up to rain.
Ate breakfast. Shocking, really.

Faxed loan approval note to Real Estate agent.

Walked to West Perth at lunch.
Posted the acceptance of conveyancer forms to the conveyancer.
Got the chicken terriyaki footlong from Subway.
Watched one little segment of Ellen.

Did work the whole afternoon - till drinks.

Drinks? Bah! No drinks! And the snacks were crud.

Gave o a lift home.

Watched more of The Sentinel.

Went to cell.

Watched the rest of The Sentinel. Not bad, but fairly standard, really. Like The Fugitive, but nowhere near as good.

Watched Star Trek: Nemesis. Not a bad film, but the ending was a bit of an anticlimax.

Thursday, March 06, 2008

"Thank you India, thank you terror, thank you disillusionment" - Alanis Morrissette

Thanking the tiny little spider whose web attaches to my laundry door. Yes, that incy wincy little thing somehow caught a cockroach.
However, it is probably a redback which will likely also kill me one day soon.
I was listening to another Alanis song this morning - "Uninvited". Hows that, then?
Incidentally, the start of it makes me think of some Delta Goodrem song; Innocent Eyes, or something. And I'm like - why do I have Delta on my ipod???

Very slow traffic. Very.
Ate curios. Pretty tasty stuff. But, as I suspected, not very filling. And not very cheap.

Went down to city client. But left at about 9:30, cos I was trying to arrange the time yesterday and there was no-one around. Actually, apparently there was but there was something wrong with the phones. Bah!

Had some morning tea. As always....

Changed some of my insurance details with SGIO - cos I put ANZ down as my home financier. And also I had to pay my car insurance. Realised I should've waited another day or two so it will be on next month's statement. OH WELL!

Watched Ellen.
Then went down to Epic. I had to go to the bank first - to deposit two cheques. There was absolutely no line.
So then had sit-down lattes. Good.

No partners or managers!

Finally got loan docs in the mail. At least, I think that's what it is. I mean, its loan docs, but is it the official proper letter to send to the real estate guy? I take it as so.

Watched Friends, Sopranos season 6 episode 10, Biggest Loser and SVU.

And finally, rain. A little, at least.

Wednesday, March 05, 2008

Ad: "We put the 'dolt' in a-dolt education"

Left house at 7:30AM and got back at 9:30PM. What an exciting life I lead!

Nothing happening till lunch.

Watched Ellen.
Went and got Rocketfuel. We were supposed to go to Epic but Mogli decided it was too hot again, or something.

Got changed about 5 minutes before 5. I should do this everyday - just for the drive home.

Looked around at Koorong. Wanted to listen to the new Passion CD, but there was extreme minimal staff on hand. So I couldn't, basically.

Went with Leo to Mt Lawley and ate Subway for dinner. Tasty! But it made me late.

Had class. The lecturer actually exhibited some passion at one stage, which kinda shocked me when I caught on. Although I realised later that I don't really agree with him on that point. Unless he was using hyperbole?

Paid $2 for the college coffee machine coffee. OK lor....but my home stuff is better - not as bitter. I was however very impressed with myself that I poured and frothed the milk so it came exactly to the rim of the cup.

Tuesday, March 04, 2008

Nova - Sounds Different....

Had training. Everyone was quite shocked since it was the first day of the week, but still Tuesday. And instead of coffee there was; up & go??? Yers...

Finally got the loan approved? At least, that's what the guy said. I'm not 100% sure that I believe him.

Did shopping. Bought curios, but nothing else real exciting. Except that I had to refill all my air freshners - that's one for the car, one for my room and one for the hall. And they're all different.... The car didn't have any refills, so I had to buy a whole new system. But the price difference is fairly negligible.
Got Subway for lunch - yummo! But not quite enough food.

Did some work.

Took 20 minutes to get to the narrows on the way home. There was an accident in the middle of the bridge there.

Had dinner & watched most of Friends.

And then there was class. We seemed to have skipped the 300-400 period, where they wrote the creed and St Augustine of Hippo was around and stuff. But I guess its focusing more on mission? Maybe....

Monday, March 03, 2008

Watching Too Much Television - Sopranos episode title

Woke up at 11:30. That's like 8 hours straight. I'm so impressed - I hardly ever have uninterrupted sleep for so long into the daylight hours.

Watched Sopranos season 6 part I up to episode 10. One must keep oneself entertained.
I saw one episode which I missed when it was on TV, and also half an episode where the sound was lost. It made a big difference to my appreciation, I think.

While doing that, did some ironing. But it was still too hot to get all of it done.

Stopped watching Babel - cos there's no subtitles! So I started watching The Sentinel instead. It's not really like what I thought it was gonna be about - but that was so long ago I've probably just got the wrong idea. Its more like....the Jackal, I guess. About an attempted thingy against the president, and the heroes are the secret service or whatever.

Watched Friends and the Biggest Loser.

Almost forgot to watch part two of the Mafia Documentary - lucky its on so damn late! It was almost all about movies - mainly Donnie Brasco, but a bit of Casino and of course the guy from Goodfellas. Who says the tube is mindless entertainment? Everything I know I learned from popular culture.

"We're just two lost souls swimming in a fishbowl, year after year" - Pink Floyd, Wish You Were Here

Went to church. Still too early. Sat next to V; he hasn't changed at all.

Went home and had coffee, then went to Cash & Carry with Leo - finally! Got a box of 70 small picnics.

Went to Singapore Hawker for lunch. Had beef brisket noodle - for something different. Stayed there for ages... I think that was Leo's fault.

Went to Churchlands somewhere to play cricket. Interesting. As in, using the oval setting. But not really like a proper pitch. There was a hill up the bowler's end which didn't make run-ups attractive.

I heard V was leaving at 4, so I sent him some message and then he rings me and we're talking for 10 minutes before I realise that he is still around....
So went for dinner with his family and...eye lady. Apparently his flight was delayed about 7 hours.

Went back to his house and played lots of Mahjong with his sisters and....eye lady.

Then went with...eye lady, the whole family and C to send him to the airport around 11:30. And, as is the case with V, he got there just before the final call.

Played more Mahjong (with V's mum replacing Ali's sister....I'm going for equal opportunities here) till 3:15. The good life, eh?

"What if Sunday school was on Saturday night?" - Todd Agnew, On a Corner in Mephis

Got haircut. Finally. In about 10 minutes - no exaggeration. It was probably shorter, actually. But still $23. Ahhh; what you gonna do?

Did washing. Its gonna be a long day.....

Watched Sopranos season 6 episode 1. Eugene mentions that he should be able to retire because of the precedent set by Joey Bananas - which was the nickname for the longest serving New York boss (Bonano - of the Bonano family); and I know that cos his son was featured on the Mafia documentary last Monday. Super!
Watched the season recaps first - made me want to go back and watch them all again...

Had lovely coffee. Cos I bought full cream milk? Maybe....

Read more Heroes book. There were a few longer (continued) stories centering around the Wireless girl. Better. Much better.

Watched Sopranos season 6 episode 2, with commentary (which wasn't very helpful). Except that Meadow mentioned that Moby song at the end (which is one of his best, in my opinion) has Annie Lennox as the singer. Strange... Cos it really doesn't sound anything like her.

Read more Heroes book. Another extended continued series on how dad Petrelli met Linderman during the Vietnam war. Not bad.

Watched The Simpsons, then Sopranos season 6 episode 3. Really not as bad as I remembered.

Watched part of Spiderman, then part of Friday Night Lights. Stopped the first to watch the second. Which was, um, dull. As is most movies about American Football. Or sport in general, I guess.

Watched a little more Babel. Its not good to watch when one is almost asleep.
