At the going down of the sun......etc

Look, I'm all for wars and stuff - but I can't stand that poem. Please stop reading it! Its not really that good, and I'm sure there's something better, somewhere. At least, choose a different section, or something. Someone?
At least I almost got through the whole day without hearing it - until Big Brother, of all things. Ironic...

Got up about 9:15, which was a pretty nice time.

Since it was a public holiday, there was nothing open, so I stayed at home all day. I did go outside once, as I recall (or maybe twice) to put rubbish in the bin. Fascinating.

Watched quite a bit of Seinfeld. Had breakfast at like 11, and lunch at 3.

Watched a bit more of Once Upon a Time in America. As I suspected would happen, the action has suddenly slackened right off - though they've kept up with the nudity. And references to it.

Watched Sopranos season 6 part 2 episode 3, which was pretty slow moving, cos it just focused on Junior, Tony and Paulie. But the New York guy got shot lots at the end very Godfather style (in more ways than one), so that helped. A bit. Only 6 left now - who knows what is going on.'

Watched The Simpsons, then Big Brother, then more Simpsons. I need to complain about the Simpsons - maybe tomorrow. Big Brother? Nyeh. Nothing really going on. But its still watchable. I'm going for Christian Girl, but I doubt she'll last the first eviction. Especially since there are no Asians - hah!

Then it was kinda late, but not late enough. So I looked at my story, and it filled me with joyness, for two reasons:

1. I'm really not happy with chapter 1 - it seems very juvenile, because the reactions of the characters is not realistic, and often doesn't fit in with their character. But I've been trying to adjust it (in a significant sense) for the past 5 years or so, without success. And today, I managed to seriously correct the bit which was probably the most glaringly bad. And it didn't take much either - just a slight tweaking to adjust the line then bring it back. If you understand....
2. I had given myself an ultimatum at the end of chapter...lets say 11, which should've been resolved by the end of chapter 12. But chapter 12 was already too long, so I had to delay it until chapter 13. But this section had been one of the slowest moving - its been years. And I believe I have arrived at a satisfactory solution to it, which almost seems predestined by the rest of the story. And, really, I got the idea from Big Brother! Ironic.....

Slept about 10. I was planning to wake up early, cos Mogli inspired me with his tales of early morning exercise. And whether I really believe it or not.....

Public holidays - they'd be better if people were at work. But then.....
