One guy from Kabul: "Sometimes I think you WANT to fail!"
Got up around 7:30. It felt longer after my alarm than that.
Worked from 9-11, as per usual. Still not seeing the guy, so not getting any money.
Watched some more of Six Feet Under. Only 1 episode left now. I may considering getting the rest of season 1, but a bit later, I suppose. I can't get past the whole gay thing and the other weird relationships and that everyone is morally vacuous. Plus it seems it shows like this where they try and tell a complete story in one episode that everyone essentially has the same points of view, and, given enough time, they all agree, even though they fight violently at the start. And, in my experience, life just totally isn't like that. But, as I say, it has its moments. But it would be nice if the episode could be tailored to my needs - which would mean it would be, at most, 3/4 as long.
Watched Primary Colours at night. It was a well told film, but, like, say, Mississippi Burning, or something like that, it wasn't very pleasant to watch. I was really hoping, and pretty much convinced, that John Travolta really was a good guy. Then it gets to the end and, well..... I think the lesson is that power corrupts, cos everyone in the show was like that. And it also sends the message like how I feel when I go to vote :
you try and elect the person who's not quite as bad as the rest.
Slept about 10:30.
I'd like, now, to point your attention to ninemsn's TV Guide. At time of writing, on of the three shows highlighted on the introductory page is 'Waking the Dead' - the height of British crime drama. Why? Cos it won an Emmy. Well, that's fine..... except, I was under the impression Emmy's were the awards for..... US television. Um..... Is it so good that the USA decided to award it one as well? I mean, I've never heard of an Australian show winning an Emmy..... although its true that most Australian shows suck. But, then again, quite a few US shows do, too.
