Alert - Charity increases monthly contribution amount!

Yes, the letter I got from World Vision today confirms that they're monthly contribution amount is going up by $4. And while my first reaction was like 'they gotta do what they gotta do', some wording in there about 'we are compelled to increase your monthly contribution' (to that effect) made me think, um, well, what exactly are they charging me for?
I understand, of cos, that a charities costs can go up, and that, therefore, the recommended monthly contribution amount can go up. But is this to say that if one didn't want to donate $39 a month (or whatever it is) and could only afford, say, $37, World Vision would be like, nah, sorry, go give your money to Oxfam or the Wilderness Society, cos we don't want your nickels and dimes - its only dollars that count here, buddy?
Ah, its one of those 'prestigious' charities....
Its like that MS Society raffle - $100 per ticket??? They obviously don't want my money. Forget about sponsoring someones book reading at, like, $1 per book. Even if they do read 100, at least you have some say over what you give them. There's no room to move with these people. And that's not even deductible, neither.

Did my usual 15 minutes this morning. Actually, it was more like 10, I think. Oh well.
Had oats and made lunch....in a way.

Mogli was off sick today. So it went real slow, as you'd think, assuming you thought that way.

I was running out of bread, so only made one sandwich. Therefore, I needed extra food, so I got a muffin from the coffee guy - which was nowhere near as big as he suggested. Also got a small latte with 1 - which wasn't enough sugar.

Then I hadn't brought my book (as bad as it is....) cos I never get the opportunity to read it cos Mogli is always talking all the time. Not that I mind.....
But here it was with him not around, and, though people were talking in the boardroom, they all left about 1:35, so I had all this time.... dang.

Sent off some queries in the afternoon, cos there's this thing which is due Friday. It was fascinating.

Left at 5. I was using my bonus half hour from last Thursday.

Its Wednesday, so there's very little on TV, besides The Simpsons and Big Brother. Nyeh.

So I finished watching Proof, the rest of which wasn't AS good as the start, but still a very good show. Especially since its about maths and stuff. I didn't think Anthony Hopkins role was big enough, but I guess, to be fair, he was dead for the whole show, except for the flashback scenes.

Then I decided to watch Spicks and Specks, cos I'd been meaning to for some time. And it turned out to be their 100th show, so, I thought, this is gonna be great! Anyway, it wasn't. Especially Hamish Blake, who was just about the most annoying that I have ever seen him be. Or most other people, for that matter. Anyway, I turned it off after about 10 minutes.

Spoke to V for a while, trying to make some plans. Didn't get very far.

Started watching The 40 Year Old Virgin, which is on Mogli's recommendation, and thus I'm not expecting much from it. And, from what I've seen, I shouldn't.
But that poster of the ship on his wall that's in 3D is really cool.
And I noticed, from that show and Proof, that I can't help staring at the coffee now whenever anyone has a cup. Hum.

Slept about 10:30. Still ploughing through this damn book.
